The 11 questions in the inspection
Every question is answered Yes, No or N/A. Each No is flagged and asks for a photo and a comment, so the finding arrives with its evidence.
Access
- 1Room is locked or access controlled
- 2Three feet of clear space in front of every panel
- 3Room is not used for storage
- 4Door opens outward and exit is clear
Equipment
- 5Panels are closed with no missing knockouts or covers
- 6Circuit labels are clear and correct
- 7No signs of overheating, burning smell or discolouration
- 8Warning signs and arc flash labels are in place
- 9Cables and conduits are secure and undamaged
Records
- 10Last thermography or test date is current
- 11Defects were reported and signed
When to use it
- Once a month.
- The person responsible for the area or equipment answers each question on the spot.
- Each record starts with: Room or panel ID.
How it is scored
The template is built with points per answer and a pass mark of 90. In this library every audit is set to pass at 80 and every inspection at 90. Each submitted inspection shows its score and pass or fail, and every No is flagged with its photo and comment.
