How CI careers usually progress
There is no single ladder. People move between running production and running improvement in both directions, and titles differ between companies. This is the most common shape.
What about pay?
No public source tracks continuous improvement job titles as their own occupation, so we do not quote a salary for any of them. The nearest U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics occupations give a rough reference. Pay for a CI title can differ a lot by industry, site size, region and how senior the role is.
