Lean manufacturing software: what it is, what it should do, and how to choose
Lean manufacturing software is a system that runs a plant's daily lean routines in one digital place: shop-floor issues, audits and 5S, maintenance checks, standard work, ideas and kaizen, skills and training, KPIs and tiered meetings. Operators who clean, inspect, lubricate and retighten their own equipment catch small problems before they become breakdowns. Software should schedule those routines as standard work, flag missed checks and send abnormalities to maintenance.

A standard only works if it is current, easy to follow at the station and the same on every shift. Look for one library of standards, version control and a way to push a change to everyone who uses it.

Features look alike in a demo. Ask every vendor these questions to separate tools that get used on the floor from another login nobody opens.
Frontline sign-in without a company email
Many operators have no company email. If signing in needs one, the people closest to the problems never use the system.
Ask: How does an operator without an email sign in on a shared device?
