The 11 questions in the inspection
Every question is answered Yes, No or N/A. Each No is flagged and asks for a photo and a comment, so the finding arrives with its evidence.
Ventilation and filters
- 1The extraction fan runs and the airflow gauge is in range
- 2Intake and exhaust filters are clean and not overloaded
- 3Ducts are free of build-up
Fire and ignition control
- 4No ignition sources are in or near the booth
- 5Electrical equipment in the booth is rated for the area
- 6Fire suppression or extinguishers are in place and in date
- 7Flammable liquids are limited to the quantity allowed
Housekeeping and PPE
- 8Paint residue is not building up on floors and walls
- 9Waste rags and solvents are in approved metal containers
- 10Respirators and PPE are available and used
- 11Spills are cleaned up straight away
When to use it
- Once a week.
- The person responsible for the area or equipment answers each question on the spot.
- Each record starts with: Booth ID.
How it is scored
The template is built with points per answer and a pass mark of 90. In this library every audit is set to pass at 80 and every inspection at 90. Each submitted inspection shows its score and pass or fail, and every No is flagged with its photo and comment.
