Every question is answered Yes, No or N/A. Each No is flagged and asks for a photo and a comment, so the finding arrives with its evidence.

Hoods and ducts

  1. 1Hoods and capture points are in the right position and undamaged
  2. 2Ducts are intact with no leaks or blockages
  3. 3Dampers are set as marked

Performance

  1. 4Airflow or pressure gauges show normal readings
  2. 5Smoke or tissue tests show air is drawn into the hood
  3. 6Extraction is on whenever work is being done

Filters and records

  1. 7Filters are clean and changed on schedule
  2. 8The last thorough test is in date
  3. 9Faults are reported and recorded

When to use it

  • Once a month.
  • The person responsible for the area or equipment answers each question on the spot.
  • Each record starts with: Extraction system.

How it is scored

The template is built with points per answer and a pass mark of 90. In this library every audit is set to pass at 80 and every inspection at 90. Each submitted inspection shows its score and pass or fail, and every No is flagged with its photo and comment.
