The 10 questions in the inspection

Every question is answered Yes, No or N/A. Each No is flagged and asks for a photo and a comment, so the finding arrives with its evidence.

Equipment

  1. 1The scale is level, clean and verified with a test weight
  2. 2The scale is in calibration
  3. 3The check is done by a trained person

Sampling

  1. 4The sample size and frequency follow the plan
  2. 5Samples are taken across the run and from all heads or lanes
  3. 6Pack weight includes or excludes packaging as the procedure says

Results

  1. 7Average and individual weights are within limits
  2. 8Results are recorded on the chart or log
  3. 9Out-of-limit results led to adjustment and a recheck
  4. 10Product since the last good check was held if needed

When to use it

  • Every day, before first use or at the start of the shift.
  • The person responsible for the area or equipment answers each question on the spot.
  • Each record starts with: Product, Line.

How it is scored

The template is built with points per answer and a pass mark of 90. In this library every audit is set to pass at 80 and every inspection at 90. Each submitted inspection shows its score and pass or fail, and every No is flagged with its photo and comment.
