Compressed air and water leaks poster

Compressed air is one of the most expensive forms of energy in a plant, and leaks waste it around the clock, as do running taps and hoses. This poster shows where air and water leaks usually hide and a five-step routine to deal with them: listen and look, tag, log, fix and re-check. It also carries a safety warning: never feel for an air leak with your hand.

How to use it

  1. 1

Run a leak walk on a quiet shift or a weekend, when leaks are easiest to hear.

  2. 2

Hang it by the compressor room and the maintenance board.

  3. 3

Use your TPM or maintenance tags for leaks, so they are tracked like any other fault.

  4. 4

Pair it with the energy waste poster.

Which size to print

  • 24 x 36 in or A2: a main wall or team board, read from a few metres away.
  • 18 x 24 in or A3: a station or notice board. The A3 file also fits 11 x 17 in paper.
  • Letter or A4: a clipboard, binder or handout, on any office printer.

Every PDF is vector, so it stays sharp at full size. Nothing runs to the edge of the page, so no bleed is needed.

A poster reminds. A routine makes it stick.
