PPE by zone poster
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is the last line of defence against a hazard that cannot be removed or guarded. This poster charts the PPE typically worn in seven common zones, from the production floor to the loading dock, and marks what is usually required and what depends on the task. It says plainly that your own hazard assessment decides, so it works as a reminder next to your site's signs, not a replacement for them.

How to use it
- 1
Put it at the entrance to the production area, where people put PPE on.
- 2
Check the ticks against your own PPE hazard assessment before you print, and cross out or add what differs. The PNG and PDF can be marked up.
- 3
Use it in induction for new starters and visitors, zone by zone.
- 4
Pair it with a short toolbox talk on checking PPE before use.
Which size to print
- 24 x 36 in or A2: a main wall or team board, read from a few metres away.
- 18 x 24 in or A3: a station or notice board. The A3 file also fits 11 x 17 in paper.
- Letter or A4: a clipboard, binder or handout, on any office printer.
Every PDF is vector, so it stays sharp at full size. Nothing runs to the edge of the page, so no bleed is needed.
