5 shop floor safety rules poster
Most plants have a handful of safety rules that apply to everyone, every day. This poster sets out five general ones in large type: wear the PPE the area requires, never bypass a guard, lock out before you reach in, keep walkways and exits clear, and report every injury, near miss and hazard. They are generic, so check them against your own site rules before you print.

On the floor
How to use it
- 1
Put it at the main entrance to the floor and in the break room.
- 2
Go through one rule per day in the start-of-shift huddle for a week.
- 3
Use it in induction for new starters, contractors and temporary staff.
- 4
Swap in your own site's rules if they differ: the editable versions are your own documents, this is a reminder.
Which size to print
- 24 x 36 in or A2: a main wall or team board, read from a few metres away.
- 18 x 24 in or A3: a station or notice board. The A3 file also fits 11 x 17 in paper.
- Letter or A4: a clipboard, binder or handout, on any office printer.
Every PDF is vector, so it stays sharp at full size. Nothing runs to the edge of the page, so no bleed is needed.
