4M change points poster
A change point is any change in the 4Ms (man or people, machine, material, method): a new operator, a repaired machine, a new material lot, a changed standard. New problems often start right after one. Change point management flags each change before it happens, adds checks while the process settles, and records what was found. This poster lists typical change points under each M and the four steps to manage them.

How to use it
Putting the 4M change points poster to work
- 1
Post it by the team board where the shift's change points are written up.
- 2
At the start of each shift, ask: what is different today? Write each change on the board.
- 3
Agree the extra checks for each kind of change with quality before you print.
- 4
Pair it with the free 4M change management sheet.
Which size to print
- 24 x 36 in or A2: a main wall or team board, read from a few metres away.
- 18 x 24 in or A3: a station or notice board. The A3 file also fits 11 x 17 in paper.
- Letter or A4: a clipboard, binder or handout, on any office printer.
Every PDF is vector, so it stays sharp at full size. Nothing runs to the edge of the page, so no bleed is needed.
