LeanSuite - Lean Manufacturing Software

Buyer's guide

Best cost of poor quality (COPQ) software

Short answer: Few products track the cost of poor quality as a feature; most quality software only says it will reduce it. Choose by where your quality cost data lives. If you want defects logged at the line, ranked by what they cost and turned into root-cause projects, look at LeanSuite. If you run a quality management system, Isolocity lists cost of quality tracking in its CAPA suite at a published per-user price, uniPoint trends the total cost of quality across its QMS modules, and ComplianceQuest links nonconformance records to cost data on Salesforce. If your ERP should hold it, DELMIAWorks has a Cost of Quality module. Manufacturo, for complex regulated production, and SYMESTIC, a cloud MES, work it out from production and quality data. For one plant and a monthly number, a COPQ worksheet is enough.

Who wrote this: LeanSuite publishes this guide, and LeanSuite is one of the seven products on it. It is listed first because it is our product; the others follow in alphabetical order, which is not a ranking. Every other product is described only from its own public pages, and each entry says where that product fits better than ours.

How we chose these tools

COPQ software puts a money figure on what goes wrong: scrap, rework, sorting, returns, warranty claims and the labor behind them, so quality work can be ranked by what it is worth. Each product on this list meets all of these:

  • Cost of quality is named

The vendor's own pages say the product tracks, reports or measures the cost of quality or COPQ. Saying it will reduce your cost of quality is not enough; most quality software says that.

  • Costs tied to records

The cost comes from defects, nonconformances, scrap, rework or returns the product already records, not a single total typed in at month end.

  • Built for manufacturing

Manufacturers are a main market for the product.

  • Still sold in 2026

A live product page with a way to buy, trial or book a demo. Where we found no dated 2026 release, our sources log says so.

  • Public information

Enough on the vendor's own pages to describe how it handles quality costs. Where pricing or security is not published, the table says so.

Seven COPQ tools: LeanSuite first, then alphabetical

  1. 1. LeanSuite

Lean manufacturing software where COPQ runs as a loop across three modules. Operators log each defect at the line by part number and failure code, from a QR code on the machine that fills in the location, department and shift. The QA Matrix puts internal defects and customer complaints in one list, multiplies each by the standard cost you set for its part number, and ranks it AA, A, B or C by where it was caught, severity, cost and recurrence, giving a live Pareto of your cost of poor quality. Customer returns and warranty claims can be entered by hand or imported via API from your customer portal. From the costliest defect you launch a Kaizen or CAPA in 8D or A3, with the RCA Agent drafting a 5 Whys, 4M1D and fishbone, and after the project closes LeanSuite tracks that defect code for 90 days and reports the dollar savings of the fix. Loss and Cost Management puts downtime, poor quality and waste in one loss tree ranked by cost. One flat price per facility with unlimited users; a 90-day pilot costs $3,000 per facility.

Best for: Plants that want defects costed as they are logged, ranked by money, and fixed through tracked root-cause projects whose savings are checked afterwards.

    LeanSuite COPQ

  2. 2. ComplianceQuest

Quality, safety and supplier management software built on Salesforce. Its article on cost of quality says its real-time analytics connect nonconformance data directly to cost records, showing the fully loaded cost of quality including prevention and appraisal costs, and link supplier nonconformances to their cost data. Nonconformance, CAPA, complaints, audits, inspections, document management, training, supplier management and dashboards are separate modules, with AI analytics and closed-loop workflows from a nonconformance to CAPA and change management. It offers single sign-on and multi-factor authentication. Pricing is a custom quote.

Best for: Quality teams on Salesforce that want cost of quality reported from the same nonconformance, CAPA and supplier records.

    ComplianceQuest website

  3. 3. DELMIAWorks

Manufacturing ERP from Dassault Systèmes, formerly IQMS, with a Cost of Quality module. The module monitors the cost of quality for all inventory or for specific items and classes, tracks the labor, inventory and material costs of rework, identifies the cost of parts rejected off the machine and the excess freight on product returns, and queries costs for any date range. CAPA, APQP, material review board, SPC, gage tracking, document control, inspections, scrap tracking and RMAs are in the same ERP, which runs on premises or in hosted cloud data centers. Its 2026 release was scheduled for January 16, 2026. Pricing and security certifications are not published on the pages we read.

Best for: Plants that run DELMIAWorks as their ERP and want quality costs from the same inventory and production data.

    DELMIAWorks website

  4. 4. Isolocity

Cloud quality management software from a company that began as an ISO consultancy in 2004 and launched its app in 2016. Its CAPA suite lists cost of quality tracking next to supplier quality management and links to training, and its inspections suite tracks SPC, cost and time. Document control, training with a test builder, nonconformances, deviations, complaints, audits, calibration, inventory cost tracking and dashboards are other modules. It says it adheres to ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II standards and integrates with single sign-on. It publishes pricing: full users $220 per user a month billed annually, production users $39 per user a month, and basic users free.

Best for: Small and mid-sized manufacturers that want a QMS with cost of quality tracking at a published per-user price.

    Isolocity website

  5. 5. Manufacturo

A manufacturing management platform for high-complexity production, such as aerospace and defense. An April 2026 article on its site says it makes the cost of quality measurable, tracking first-pass yield, scrap rates, rework frequency and disposition cycles to show where improvements cut COPQ most. Nonconformance with escalation workflows, CAPA, document management, processes and procedures, equipment, inventory, MRP and Action Boards for tracking actions are in the same platform, with Magenta AI agents. It undergoes annual SOC 2 Type II audits by independent auditors, with ITAR and EAR controls on Azure Government. Pricing is not published.

Best for: Complex, regulated manufacturers that want quality costs from their MES and nonconformance data.

    Manufacturo website

  6. 6. SYMESTIC

A cloud MES from symestic GmbH in Dossenheim, Germany, founded in 1999. It records every cycle, stop and scrap event from the machines, and its own guide to the cost of poor quality says it shows the cost impact on live dashboards, so the COPQ figure updates every minute instead of every quarter. Production KPIs and OEE, production control, alarms and process data are its modules; it is a production system rather than a quality management system, and its product pages describe no nonconformance, CAPA or audit modules. It is ISO 9001 certified, with ISO 27001 under review, and offers iOS and Android apps. It publishes pricing: the Professional platform is €500 a month with annual billing, machine recording €350, and Starter under €10,000 a year.

Best for: Plants whose biggest quality cost is scrap at the machine and that want it counted live from production data.

    SYMESTIC website

  7. 7. uniPoint

Quality management software from uniPoint Software in Winnipeg, Canada, founded in 1996 as an ERP implementation company and built to integrate with ERP systems. Cost of quality is the first of its listed functions: it shows the total administrative cost of quality and trends it over time, its Trend Analysis module breaks the cost down across nonconformances, corrective actions, audits, safety, training, scrap and rework, and its Meetings module adds meeting time to the cost of quality. Nonconformance with scrap and rework tracking, CAPA, document control, audits, inspections, supplier management, complaints with RMAs, calibration and a dashboard of over 800 quality metrics are other modules, in a browser on a desktop, tablet or phone. Pricing and security certifications are not published, and the newest post on its blog dates from 2023.

Best for: Quality teams that want the cost of every quality activity trended inside a QMS tied to their ERP.

Where LeanSuite is different

This part is about our own product, so read it as LeanSuite's pitch; the entries above describe every other tool from its own pages. Each point links to the LeanSuite page that shows it.

  • Defects ranked by what they cost

The QA Matrix puts internal defects and customer complaints in one list, applies the standard costs you set by part number, and ranks each defect AA, A, B or C, so the most expensive one sits at the top of a live Pareto.

    Reducing COPQ
  • The saving is checked after the fix

After a Kaizen project closes, LeanSuite tracks that defect code for 90 days and reports the dollar savings of the fix, so the result shows up in money, not only in defect counts.

    Savings validation
  • Improvement next to the daily work

Issues, audits, tiered meetings, skills and training sit in the same platform. A failed audit question can become a new kaizen, and when you launch a kaizen or engineering project you see who has the skills it needs.

    How the modules connect
  • Any method, including your own

Run DMAIC, PDCA, A3, 8D or your company's own method in the same system. The built-in A3, DMAIC and PDCA templates can be adjusted to fit your process, and each project type gets its own workflow.

    Continuous improvement software
  • A 90-day pilot at a published price

$3,000 per facility for 90 days, with the first module live in under a week. Pricing is per facility with unlimited users.
